The Big Love-In, Issue 6

I think it is high time for some new love =)

I love this song.

Love. It.

And judging by the fact that it has finally hit number one here in Australia, so do a lot of other people!
I remember tweeting when I was in Albany that this was going to be the song of my summer, and as it turned out, it has also been the song for a decent bit of my autumn too. I don’t know what it is about it, but it just has that sort of anthem-like feel that I love in a song. If you haven’t already heard it (people with this thing called the radio, which I don’t really have out here, haha, tell me it is getting a lot of air-play at the moment, so you should have!), go and have a listen.

Ask the AnderBros

This is the greatest thing tumblr has ever done.

There are some crazy people over there, and there have been some really funny blogs that I have enjoyed in the past, but every single one of them pales next to this one. If this isn’t what Cooper Anderson is like when we finally get to meet him (MATT BOMER ON GLEE, PEOPLE. OMFG.) then I will be desperately disappointed. What’s not to love about a man who quotes Charlie the Unicorn and has proclaimed himself the Banana King? Here are a couple of my favourite posts from the blog, but you have to see all of them. Trust me. =D

From Now On We Are Enemies” – Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy. Still probably my favourite band ever, despite their current non-existence (*sadface*).

I thought I had heard (and loved) it all, but a few weeks back I left the Greatest Hits album playing and discovered, would you believe, for the first time (I’m a poor excuse for a fan, I know), the bonus tracks. And, if one of them didn’t immediately become one of my new favourites out of all of their songs from all the albums (we’re talking right back to the Fall Out Boy’s Evening Out With Your Girlfriend days). “From Now On We Are Enemies” is awesome. According to Pete Wentz, it wouldn’t have fit in with the feel of Folie à Deux, is like nothing else they’ve ever recorded, and was an entirely new song - the only brand new material on Believers Never Die. It is great! Everything about it, I’m loving. If you aren’t a fan of FOB, it may not be your thing, but I’ve had it on high rotation since that first listen.

I think I might have featured Eddie Cahill in a previous Love-In, but there is no such thing as too much of this show - and this man. I first started watching CSI back in 2002, when there was only the original Vegas series, and then as the spin-offs started, Miami, and later New York, I watched occasional episodes of those too. I always like the Vegas one best, but when the cast started changing, so did my tastes, and suddenly the [faux-]Big Apple (the show doesn't shoot on location, rather, in a studio in Los Angeles) held a whole new appeal. Which may or may not have had something to do with one Detective Don Flack. The wit, the sarcasm, the accent, the eyes – Flack is… gorgeous.

My Kitchen Rules

I think at first I just watched this because I fancied Manu Feildel, the French judge on this competitive cooking show. But that was 2.5 seasons ago, and now I watch it because I’m addicted! The seasons always go too fast! Last season I was cheering for Bill and Alex (pilot uniforms FTW!) and this season my favourites would have to be Nic and Rocco. Good luck in the finals boys!

Chips and Gravy

Chips? Awesome.
Gravy? Awesome.
Chips and Gravy? Best food under the sun.

Also, the Paraburdoo Milk Bar makes amazing gravy, just so you know.

And now just some bonus Bomer and Flack pictures, for good measure =D

Much love,
C xoxo
